High Tech Swim Suit Limits for 12 & U

11/05/2008: At the USA Swimming convention in Atlanta in September 2008, it was voted on by the House of Delegates to restrict the use of high tech suits for age group swimmers that are 12 years old and younger. The restriction will become effective on May 15, 2009. I mentioned this at the PNS House of Delegates meeting on October 11, 2009, but have had a couple of questions on the subject, so I wanted to convey the USA Swimming decision to all of our swimmers, parents and coaches to ensure that they are aware of the up-coming restriction. The regulation states that an athlete, age 12 and under, in an age group specified meet may not swim in a suit that goes below the knees or above the shoulders. If you have additional questions feel free to give
me a call.
